Omid Soltani



Omid Soltani (Iran) is a graduate student of English Studies at Freie Universität Berlin and student assistant in the publications office of the International Research Center “Interweaving Performance Cultures” in Berlin as well as of Trasncultural Studies of the University of Bayreuth. He earned his BA in English Language and Literature from Allāme Tabātabā’i University in Tehran, Iran. He has previously written on such subjects as: the role of garbage in material culture, gender issues in film, governmentality and language in Orwell’s 1984 and British humor. His research has mainly concerned Samuel Beckett on whose critical texts and short prose he is currently completing his master’s thesis.
