Fadi Saleh holds a BA from the University of Tishreen (Syria) and Dickinson College (USA) and a master degree from the University of Bayreuth under the support of DAAD scholarship program. He taught several courses focused on gender studies at the University of Bayreuth from 2011 to 2013. The title of his PhD thesis is “Queer Humanitarianism in the Time of War: An Ethnography of the Emergence of Syrian LGBTIQ Refugees”. His research interests lie in queer and gender theories, Arabic literature and studies, social media, activism and diaspora studies.
