Samira Paraschiv is currently finalizing her MA studies in Intercultural and Anglophone Studies at the University of Bayreuth. She is a research assistant at the Bayreuth Academy of Advanced African Studies and a permanent team member of the BIGSAS (Bayreuth International School of African Studies) Festival of African and African-diasporic literatures that co-operated with the annual convention of the African Literature Association (ALA) in 2015. She is a member of the research group on Shakespeare’s African and Asian Sources. Her research interests are ideology and translation, language and migration, postcolonial literatures.
